Today I decided to the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Lodge stamp set. Its stunning! I am very excited about this card too because its fairly easy and its just really dynamic when you add the dazzling diamonds glitter. I’ve said it before… its the final touch or the little things that make a huge difference.
I started with an 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 cherry cobbler card stock. I folded the card stock in half and this is my base. I then cut a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of whisper white card stock. I cut 1″ off the bottom of this piece so that I could add a torn piece under the tree & house.
Next, I used garden green classic ink to stamp my tree. I used soft suede and a garden green marker to color my house and stamp it next to my tree. I then tore a 4-1/4″ x 1″ piece of card stock and layered it under the piece of card stock with my tree and house.
I then used a garden green and cherry cobbler marker to color in my Merry Christmas. I stamped it on the 4-1/4″ x 1″ piece of card stock. Now center and glue your large image on the front of your cherry cobbler. Then add your greeting. You’ll notice on my card I didn’t push my greeting up high enough and you see a hint of cherry cobbler under the torn edge. On my next card I would be sure to hide that.
You’ll notice I colored the fern and the birds with garden green and soft suede markers. I stamped them on a scrap piece of whisper white and then punched them out using the 1-3/8″ circle punch. To finish my birds I punched a 1-3/4″ Scallop circle punch to layer under my circle with the stamped image. Finally, I popped it up and off my card with a stampin dimensional and I added a jewel pearl.
Lastly, I used a two way glue pen and dazzling diamonds glitter to give it that final touch of shimmer and snow.
