Today’s card features the fabulous Stampin Up Frightening Feline! Ok… I don’t know how frightening he is. Lol! He’s pretty cute especially with the silly googlie eyes.
This card was originally designed by Dawn Olchefske. I cased it and changed it up a bit. I didn’t change it too much because I just LOVED IT the way it was!!!
Are you ready to give this card a try? The first thing you want to do is cut and texture your fence. I used the Stampin Up Designer Rosette Bigz XL die to cut and score it. I bent it slightly on each score line. I then used a sponge and basic black ink to sponge each crease and around the top and bottom of my fence. This gives it depth.
Next, place your fence where you would like it and then ink up your Stampin Up Frightening Feline in StazOn Black ink. Use your fence as a guide as to where you would like to stamp your Frightening Feline. Make sure you let the ink dry!!!!
To make this bright background I used white glossy paper and a Stampin Up sponge. That’s right… Stampin Up Glossy White paper is the key. I punched a 2-1/2″ circle out of a post it note. I placed the post it note over my Frightening Feline and began to sponge around it. This protects the area (moon) that you want to leave white. I started sponging outward with Daffodil Delight first. Then I used a bit of Cajun Craze and I finished my background with Tangerine Tango.
I added another strip of black across my fence. I also sponged another white piece to add to the black. I stamped my “Happy Halloween” and added my bat and presto!
