Inspire. Create. Share. Convention 2014 Highlights
The Ladies and I woke up early Wednesday morning with much anticipation of the day. The first event was Sherrie’s Shoebox Swap!
What is a Shoebox Swap you might ask? Typically, when you swap cards it’s a card front only and the card is already put together.
At Sherrie’s Shoebox Swap everyone brings a card to make. You go from table to table and you make your own swaps. I love it because you get to meet other demonstrators and just play with so many different stamp sets and products at once. Woo Hoo!!! Now, this is my kind of party!!!
The perfect ending to a great day first day was the Paper Pumpkin Night Out! We got a sneak peak of an upcoming Fall Paper Pumpkin Treat. It is so cute, I love it!!
The Ladies and I were so excited to meet the wonderfully talented and kind Bonnie Thurber. Bonnie is the Training Special Events Director at Stampin’ Up! She was so motivating and encouraging. We love you Bonnie!
The 2014 Awards Night was soooo amazing as I was fortunate enough to win a few of the top honors! I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished over these last seven years! Thank you to everyone who has supported, guided, encouraged, inspired, and everything else along this journey. I could not have done it without you. Thank you so much!!

Hi Diann,
Thank you so much for contacting me and for leaving me a kind word.
Stampin Up Convention is for Stampin Up Demonstrators only and If you would like to become a demonstrator you can come and join us next year.
If you would like more info, send me an email and I would love to share with you.
Have a great day!
Brandy
Congratulations!! You deserve it all! Could you tell us what the flower in the second card (blue & white thank you) from the swap is made of. I could quite decide!
Hi Gail,
Thank you so much for subscribing to Brandy’s Cards and leaving me your kind note.
I don’t have the specifics on how the card was made or the demonstrator that created it. I attended a swap event during the Stampin Up convention and I Just took a photo of it on my phone. Sorry! I believe it was made using the circle Punch and folded to look like flower petals. I’m sorry I hope this helps.
Thanks again!
Brandy
Congrats on your achievements this year!
I have a couple of questions……. Is the shoe box swap open to strangers? It sounds like a lot of fun! Also, I LOVE the second card sample you posted with the white 3D flower that looks like edged in lost lagoon. What is the material used to make the flowers?
Again, congrats!
Good Morning Megan,
Thank you for the congrats!
I’m sorry I don’t have any information on how its made, I just took a picture of the card.
Unfortunately the shoe box swap is only open to Stampin UP demonstrators, It is an organized swap event that is hosted by demonstrators that attend the convention.
If you are interested to learn about how to become a demonstrator and join us next year at convention, I would love to help you get started. Just send me an email and I would love the opportunity to assist you with any questions you may have.
Thanks again and thank you so much for subscribing to Brandy’s Cards.
Have a great day!

I see a need for making duds- cards with no zip or pizzaz, lacking imagination and thought. These you might not mind parting with… The cards that you have shown? They, should gou in a scrapbook!!
Glad you are having fun…
So happy for you—doing the best at what you love doing. This reflects in all your cards and great videos—sweet and down to earth! Keep up the good work.
Donna
I really like watching your videos, you are so talented and thank you so much for sharing that talent with us.
Hi Brandy,
I am just a card maker that watches your videos and then tries to make one similar to yours. I have had some success with that strategy.
I congratulate you on your success and awards. You deserve recognition, I am sure. Your cards are lovely and your explanations of the how-to’s is clear and understandable.
Thank you.
Hi Brandy,
I so appreciate the time you spent talking with me. I was so happy to finally meet you in person…even though I felt as thought I already knew you from watching every video you ever did! Thanks for the great ideas to help promote my business. I know I will be sucessful if I follow the advice you gave me (making and wearing the flower pins and giving them away to people). I am actually still trying to find the video where you show how to make them. My upline Sherri (who you also meet – you were sitting in front of us in one of the breakout sessions) said she will help me with the pins once we get the video. Thanks again for being such an inspiration as well as a wonderful, caring woman.
Best regards,

Hi Brandy
I really love all your cards that you make I have made some of them. I really am not that good at making up different cards so I really depend on the cards that I see on the different web sites so thanks again. Looking forward to some more of your creations.
