The base of my card is a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Whisper White card stock folded in half. I put the front of my card in my Square Lattice embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot. I must say the Square Lattice is one of my favorites!
Next I layered my 4-1/4″ x 2″ piece of So Saffron. I didn’t texture this piece; however, you certainly could. I used my Labels Collection Framlets and my Big Shot to cut an Old Olive and Whisper White Label. If you look closing you’ll see I used the Paper-Piercing pack “Festive” from the Holiday Mini to pierce the Old Olive label. If you haven’t used these yet… they are Awesome!!!
Lastly, I stamp the stem from the Stampin Up Field Flowers stamp set in Old Olive. I used my “New” 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch to punch out 4 So Saffron Circle Scallops. I laid them on a piece of scrap paper and spritz them with water. This helps to break down the paper fibers. I then layered them on top of one another and used my piercing tool to push a hole in the center. After adding my mini brad I scrunched all the flowers up in the center. As you begin to unfold the flower you can mold it and scrunch it to your desired shape. Let it dry and then use a more mustard classic stamp pad to sponge it. That will give you a bit of depth. I did spritz the itty bitty flower with water. I added a mini brad but I didn’t worry to much about scrunch it up. They are small so they are a bit more fragile. You can scrunch them a little but be careful!
