Today’s video tutorial features the Stampin’ Up! Painter’s Palette Stamp Set.
This stamp set is super fun and allows you to really get creative with color and design.
My goal was to show you a unique and fun way to use this set with the piece/pieces you might have thrown away.
This background was using the square piece from the easel. Lol!! Yep, that’s right… the square!!
Below you’ll find the written tutorial along with a fun video tutorial demonstration.
Thanks for stopping by!! Brandy
Base
1. Cut an 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” piece of Watermelon Wonder Cardstock and fold it in half. This is your base.
2. Cut (2) 5-1/4” x 4” pieces of Whisper White Cardstock. One for the inside of the card and one to layer on the top of your card.
3. Cut a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock. This is the piece you’ll be stamping on.
Tip: I used the Painter’s Palette Square with Watermelon Wonder Stamp Pad to stamp my design.

1. Cut a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Whisper White. This is your bottom square.
2. Cut a 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Watermelon Wonder. Layer this on top of your base square.
3. Cut a 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock. This is the square with your sentiment.
Tip: Stamp your Painter’s Palette sentiment in Watermelon Wonder!

Hi Brandy~~I love the idea of using something that might get tossed. The technique inspired me to make birthday cards. Love your ideas. Thanks.
Hi Brandy ~ I absolutely love the graphic nature of this card; it’s just plain fun. Changing up the colors makes such a difference and this set would make a lovely note card gift set for anyone, male or female. Thanks for continuing to inspire so many of us. ~BIG HUGS~
Hi there BRANDY,
I just love this technique. Great idea. Thank you for sharing!
Brandy – I absolutely love this card and it is a great technique. I tried it yesterday and still have not completely figured it out. I used so much ink that I had to reink one of my foam stamp pads. Your video is easy to follow, but I have to keep replaying it see which way to stamp next. I will figure it out though. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Brandy,
What a fun card! I can’t wait to use this technique. My mind is already in creative mode and I can think of several ways to use this in different shapes and colors as background for my next few cards. It’s always great to see your videos. Thanks for sharing this one with us. I wish we could see you more often, but I know with schools starting and a family it’s hard to find time. Shoot ! I’m retired and I find it hard to find time to make my own cards. But we miss you when we don’t see you smiling face and a beautiful new card that you have created. Have a wonderful weekend and a blessed one.
