Today’s card was a fun one!!! Super cute too!!!
I designed this card for the Wonderfully Wicked Wednesday Challenge featured on Utah Divas and organized by Leslie Banks. This a Wonderfully Wicked Challenge that inspired by the Wizard of Oz Yellow Brick Road. Leslie, say’s anything flies with this challenge so… he’s what I came up with.
As I was thinking about the Yellow Brick Road rectangles, squares and shades of yellow came to mind. I decided I would use More Mustard and So Saffron to compliment one another. I then started flipping through my Stampin Up Idea Book and Catalog and ran across the Stampin Up Fox & Friends stamp set and decided the Little Lion would be PERFECT!
The base color of my card is Chocolate Chip. Then a layer of Whisper White. I alternated between More Mustard and So Saffron. The small rectangle in the middle is also Chocolate Chip. I then cut and hand tore my Whisper White piece before I glue it on top of the Chocolate Chip piece.
I stamped this precious lion in Chocolate Chip. I stamped him in Chocolate Chip and again in More Mustard on Scrap paper. I then cut out his hair and used a pop dot under it for dimension. I also cut out his Chocolate Chip face. I glued his cute little face on top of the More Mustard face.
The greeting is from the “New” Summer Mini Catalog called Happy Greetings. I used a Chocolate Chip and More Mustard stampin write marker to color the stamps. Once I stamped it I was like… Oh My Gosh… It’s perfect! I just adore this card.
