Have you ever participated in a color challenge? If so… you know how challenging it is when you have several colors to work with. Even though there were 6 colors to work with for this weeks challenge it was a bit easier for me.
First, because I just love earthy colors. I tend to wear lots of brown, black and of course I love white.
And secondly, when I begin to get overwhelmed with the many colors my husband reminds me… he reminds me to pick two or three colors to start with and layer. Look for a pleasing color combination and then add the other two or more colors as accents.
After I thought that through… he was right. Boy, it’s a lot easier working with two or three colors and then it is starring at six different colors with no direction. Notice the card above… I used all the earthy colors as my base layer and then I added Tempting Turquoise and Pumpkin Pie as my accent.

Your card is lovely. You did a great job coloring the hat. A beautiful clean and simple design.
Thanks for stopping by Patti and I appreciate you leaving such a kind comment. I love love to use my aqua painter. I used Stampin’ Write Markers first to deposit the ink and then moved it around with my aqua painter on water color paper. If you haven’t tried it’s awesome! Have a great week!
