I hope you give this card a try and think about doing it in various colors. I started here in blues and did a card a while back called Young Vermillion and the background was done greens.
I sincerely appreciate you stopping by and I hope I’ve inspired you to give it a try. Have a Blessed Day!!! Brandy
Sizes and Dimensions
Cut a 5-1/2? x 8-1/2? piece of Pool Party Cardstock and score your Pool Party Cardstock at 2-1/8? and by 4-1/4?.
Use a stamping sponge and begin sponging color on your Pool Party base. I started with Island Indigo, then Tempting Turquoise and I finished up with Pacific Point.
Tip: Be sure you add your colors in layers. Remember less is more… you can always add more color and saturation but you can’t take it away.
Cut a 3″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock. This is for layering.
Cut a 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Garden Green Cardstock and layer it on top of the Whisper White piece.
Cut a 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock and this piece you’ll stamp your image on.
I stamped my image in StazOn Black and the sentiment was stamped in Pacific Point.
Tip: I used StazOn Black ink so that the black would not bleed into my markers. Remember, StazOn Ink is a permanent ink.
Using the various inks and blender pen to add color to your image. Note: You can use markers, an Aqua Painter etc.
Tip: Be sure to clean your Blender Pen off in between colors.
Tip: Use one of your Stampin’ Up! acrylic blocks to drop the ink on. This is your color palette used when coloring.
I used a two way glue pen and dazzling diamonds glitter to add the sparkle.
You can finish this card with an embellishment if you’d like. You can also stamp the inside along with the envelope for finished stationary!

Hello Brandy, I love this card! Now I have to order it, lol! Definitely a must have for those who love nature.
I love this card and your videos.
I have not long started Stamping up and I love it. I just love the wetlands cards so I am going to order them . Thank you so much for Visio tutorial so much information .
Brandy, Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful card with us.
love the card! watercolor effect is gorgeous!
I really liked the card, but my only suggestions is that either one clips off the brad part and use a glue dot or put a circle or something on the inside to cover the brads. Excellent tutorial. You’re the best.
are you on the Where magazine in the background? We get Where Magazines for DC at the hotel I work at. That’s super cool if it’s you. 🙂
Lovely card – really liked this tutorial.
Absolutely LOVE this card and watching your videos. Thanks so much Brandy!!
Brandy, just wanted to tell you that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will take ink off you hands and fingers. Need to wet it and wipe, I use it all the time. Thanks for all your hard work, I’ve learned so much from you. Hilda
I have been debating on purchasing this stamp set. Now after watching your video, I really, really have to add it to my collection! This is such a beautiful card that could be used for any occasion, male or female. Thanks for the great video! I would have never thought to sponge a background like this.
Hi, Brandy. I loved your video. You mentioned that you don’t like taking so much time, but it was well worth it to see your wonderful and creative ideas on how to dress the inside of the card as well as the envelope. Thank you for sharing your talents, it is so appreciated. ~Deb
It’s funny Brandy, I just ordered this stamp set today! I’ve fallen in love with both the Wetlands and zoo review stamp sets but could only order one at a time! Thanks for the great video today, I will definitely be searching both goose and polar bear! LOL! Thanks
So pretty and looks easy to do! Thanks for the video 🙂
Wow what a great look you made with the sponging. Your talent is amazing. Thanks for sharing it with us. I am definitely going to try this. I love the envelope & inside the card, to me it adds so much to the project. That’s what sets our hand crafted cards apart from the store bought stuff.
Brandy, you make everything look so easy! I’m going to try it out today! Thank you for the inspiration!!
Brandy I was just trying to decide last night if I need this set. I love the cards!! I have a brother and his sons that are avid hunters and this would be a good set to have on hand. Keep those videos coming, lol. Thanks Nancy
Hi Brandy, I get so excited when I see that you have posted a video. You are truly an inspiration to me!! You make it look so easy and fun!
Thank you so much for doing the inside and the envelope too! Very beautiful! Good luck to your son with his bird calls and photography.
I love the Barred Owl. Hopefully he can spot some of those. Thanks again!
Hi Brandy, the card is beautiful, and I was so glad I found the video!!! Thanks so much.
You’ve made me want to get the Wetlands set now 🙂
Brandy you have done it, again. Along with the sponging technique on colored card stock and then adding
dazzling diamonds really made it into a lovely card. Adding the goose on the envelope gives it added interest
to the receiver of the card.
Hi Brandy, Love the card and sponging. But I LOVE the glitter the MOST. I don’t think I would ever considered putting the glitter on the goose. I thought about using Flower Soft on the grass, But the Glitter is inspiring. Your card is great! See you soon.
Just “LOVELY”… truly inspires you. 🙂
Love the card! The first thing I noticed was the background and wondered how you did it! Looks stunning on that card.
Also, I like the clothes pin idea.- What I did was this: I cut each sponge into 6 wedges and colour coded them. I used the round tab punch and a scrap CS and each time I used a new sponge, I would punch that colour CS and staple it to the wedge. Eventually I had them all done! I threw them into a dollar store box with a ” SPONGE” label on the front!
TFS and I can’t wait for the next video…
Absolutely brilliant!
Brandy – As always, you do such an awesome job and I get so much inspiration from watching your videos. This is one of the stamps that I have never liked – never wanted it – but now after watching this I am going to have to add it to my wish list. Thank you so much for sharing.

They are just beautiful !!!!!! Thanks for sharing is beautiful card !!!!!

Thanks for the tips for the inside and envelope – these are two of my favorite things to embellish for that extra special touch. Have a great day! Allison:)
