1. Cut a 6-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic Black Cardstock.
2. Score all sides at 1-1/4″. Fold and prep score lines.
3. Cut in on one side of each flap.
Tip: You’ll want to cut a rectangle out of each flap. If you cut a small triangle out of your tabs this makes it easier when you put your box together.
4. Adhere your tabs to the inside of your box.
Tip: I recommend using tombow adhesive or tear and stick tape.
1. Cut a 5″ x 4″ piece of Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.
Note: The Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper is being offered as a FREE Gift with a $50 purchase before shipping and tax. This promotion ends March 31st or while supplies last.
2. Next, score all sides a 5/8″
3. Prep score lines.
4. Cut in on one side of each flap.
Tip: You’ll want to cut a rectangle out of each flap. If you cut a small triangle out of your tabs this makes it easier when you put your box together.
5. Adhere your tabs to the inside of your box top.
Tip: I recommend using liquid adhesive or tear and stick tape.
1. Cut a 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Basic Black Cardstock.
2. Cut a 3-3/8″ x 2-3/8″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock.
3. Scrunch your Whisper White Cardstock in your hand to break down the paper fibers. Then peel back one corner and careful separate the paper fibers.
4. Center and adhere the textured soft piece facing up on top of your Basic Black Cardstock.
5. Use liquid adhesive to add your Basic Black Cardstock to the top of your box adhering this piece to your belly band only.
Tip: If you put the belly band on the box you can then get accurate placement for the Basic Black Cardstock.
6. Cut out a large butterfly from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Paper.
Tip: I cut off his head and antenna’s.
7. Cut out a medium black and white butterfly with the antenna’s but no body.
8. Cut out a colorful butterfly with no head and not antenna’s.
9. Layer your butterflies using mini glue dots and stampin dimensionals.
10. Finally, adhere your layered butterfly on top of your box and add a silver metallic pearl.
11. Lastly, using Memento Black Ink to stamp a “Just for you” sentiment. Hand cut it out and use a hole punch to create a hole in the end for twine.
12. Wrap twine around the belly band and adhere your sentiment with a bow.
1. Cut a 1″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock.
2. I laid my Granny Apple Green strip across my finished box and folded over the band and pinched each edge creating a score line.
Tip: You can take the belly band back off the box and make deeper creases using a bone folder.
3. Wrap your band around your box and secure the overlapped edge using liquid adhesive.
Tip: Your Basic Black rectangle with your butterfly will adhere to the top of your belly band.
1. Cut (2) 6-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ pieces of white tissue paper.
Tip: Once piece of tissue paper is to protect your gift and the other is to stamp on.
2. Using Granny Apple Green and Memento Black Ink to stamp random butterflies on your tissue paper.
Tip: The stamp set I used to stamp my tissue paper was the Stampn’ Up! Beauty Abounds Stamp Set from the Spring 2019 Catalog.
3. Once your tissue paper has been stamped, layer the non-stamped tissue paper on top and carefully wrap your gift. You can use tape to secure the tissue paper if you’d like.
Tip: With my projects I cut out additional butterflies to further embellish my wrapped gift.
