Today’s project features the Stampin’ Up! Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set!!
I love this stamp set and have been wanting to create with it for sometime. However, with very limited supplies I had to get creative.
I decided to start out working with Black and White. I then decided to add a bit of color or pop. That’s when I tossed in Tempting Turquoise.
With the flowers in the background it appears the dragonfly is just flying through the meadow. I loved it!!
Dragonfly
- Using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Write Markers I colored my dragonfly wings with a Tempting Turquoise Marker and his body with a Basic Black.
- I stamped it once on my white square.
- I colored my dragonfly a second time and stamped it a second time on scrap paper.
- Tip: Using scissors I cut the wings out of my dragonfly and used mini glue dots to added them to my original dragonfly. This gave him life!!
- I stamped the word FRIEND in Basic Black.
Dragonfly Square Layers
- Cut a 3″ x 3″ piece of Tempting Turquoise piece of cardstock. This is your bottom layer.
- Cut a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Basic Black Cardstock and layer it on top of your Tempting Turquoise layer.
- Cut a 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock and layer it on top of your Basic Black. This layer is for your Dragonfly and Sentiment.
Base
- Cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock and fold it in half. This is your base!
- Using a StazOn Black Stamp Pad to stamp the flowers randomly along the base of your card.
- Ink you the random dots in Tempting Turquoise and stamp them in the open spaces. Keep in mind… less is more!
- Tip: I liked it when my flowers didn’t overlap. Give it try and see how you like it!!
Black and White!!
Here is a monochromatic card featuring the lovely dragonfly, background and the Stampin’ Up! Brick Embossing Folder.
I hope you enjoy today’s cards!
Until next time… Have a Blessed Day!!

Absolutely love your cards. In particular, I enjoyed your tutorial “An Open Heart”. I followed it quite closely and made a beautiful set of boxed cards for a gift.
Thank you so much for the inspiration you provide your followers. I always look forward to seeing what you have been making.
I live across the Pond so it’s out of the question for me to attend your workshops, but it’s wonderful to be able to follow you on-line and enjoy your Posts and Tutorials.
Take good care and God Bless.
Just LOVE your cards, especially the turquoise one, FAB!
Hi, Brandy…
Just a quick note to let you know how pleased I am to see that you’re using some of the “old” products from S.U. Most local demonstrators I’ve seen demo only the newer “in colors,” and don’t feature any of the ones we’ve already purchased. I suppose it’s a way of continuing the “upselling process,” but even though I have enough S.U. supplies to open my own store, I don’t always know what to do with what I’ve already bought! I’m glad to see that you continue to use previous colors that I already have and now will use in the near future because of your showing it!
I also like the fact that you show the same “components” in a card with different color combinations!! I find that extremely helpful!!
Looking forward to more of your card ideas and videos!!
Sincerely,
…gloria
Brandy – Love this! Have to order this stamp set. The catalog shows other cards using it. Awesome.
TFS! Great ideas! I didn’t get this one yet, but now I know I need it! Thanks Brandy!
Two beautiful cards, I especially like the pop of Tempting Turquoise on the first one.
I love both of your cards Brandy. This set is awesome, maybe that is why it is called …Awesomely Artistic.
