Every time I pass by this card I just get that “WOW” feeling! It’s so simple but yet bold. The colors are fabulous together!
What are the colors you might ask? I the two colors used on this card are Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler. That’s right… the rich red color is that of Cherry Cobbler. Awesome isn’t it!
I love the Gradation technique used on the butterfly. To recreate this card you can either ink up your whole Butterfly on a Pumpkin Pie Classic Stamp Pad or use a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Marker. Then take a Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker and just ink up the edges of your butterfly. Remember… less is more. Once you get some red ink on the butterfly’s edges… then take a sponge and very lightly dab the Real Red into the Pumpkin Pie. This gives it that gradual blended look.
For easy cutting use the Stampin’ Up! Big Shot and the circle dies to complete this card. The base Cherry Cobbler Circle is from the Clear Circle Bigz die. The Pumpkin Pie Circle is the new 3″ Circle Die and the very top Whisper White circle was cut from the 3-1/2″ Circle Die.
I used regular crafting scissors to cut out my butterfly. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop him off the card and then I added the Jewel Rhinestone. I stamped my greeting in Cherry Cobbler. Give the Gradation Technique a try today!
