Herb Expressions!!!

Both of these cards were designed with the Herb Expressions Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up!  I have to admit… I hard a time at first trying to remember what color the flower is on the herb Thyme.  Then I stopped and thought… Stamping is all about being creative.  It doesn’t have to be exactly like the real thing.  I then decided to go for it!!!

The first card is Thyme.  I choose Ballet Blue and Old Olive card stock.   The textured background was done with the Big Shot and one of the Texturz plates.  Here’s a tib bit for ya… When using the Stampin’ Up! Texturz plates be sure to spritz a tiny bit of water on the card stock before running it through the big shot.  This will give you an impressive and deep texture!!! Try it!!!

The second card is Lavender.  Oh, how I love the smell of Lavender!!!  This card is really easy and so elegant.  I colored on the stamp with Lovely Lilac and Old Olive and began stamping and stamping and stamping without re-inking the stamp.  This gives you the feel of a field and depth.
