RaElla is a dear friend and she’s a part of my Stamp Club. She shared this story with me a few months back and I wanted to share it with you. RaElla and her daughter, Conner, are the definition of what I call a Stampin Angel making a difference one card at a time.
“My 12 year old daughter, Conner and I enjoy making cards for our Military and Veterans,”said RaElla. “In fact, my kitchen table has 150 of 300+ Valentines with the heart treat cups that will be sent to a VA hospital and several more to Afghanistan.
My son is in the military and will be getting out soon. I have been mailing cards since I was little. I had five cousins deployed at the same time during Vietnam. My dad was stateside during Korea and my Uncle served in Korea (that’s where the Valentines for the VA are going, Mt. Vernon MO.) My husband’s uncle was in Vietnam, and I have best friends that were there too. So, this is something that is very close to my heart.”
Check out all these beautiful creations that Connor sent to me to share with you. I love them all!!! I will cherish the special note from Connor and will enjoy wearing my charm. Thank you, Connor and RaElla, for sharing your story, your talents and for reaching out to others through this gift of cards and notes. I am so grateful to those serving our country. Thank you for your friendship and may God continue to bless both you and Connor for all you do! Thank You.
There are earth angels here and you are one of them, Connor. You could be doing other things, but you are helping servicemen and women feel special. You bring a smile to their faces, as you did mine.
Keep up the great work, Connor. The Lord knows how special you are and so do all of us who see what you make and what you’ve done!
What a great role model you are, RaElla!
Love, Miss Mary
Brandy:
Once again you have this “Military Momma” & her daughter in complete “Awe.” Ms.Norma, Conner & I thank you & Ms.Brandy for your kind words. Ms.Brandy was a big inspiration in the design of the magnet,it could be a charm,or pin. The insert is made on our computer.(I wish it were a stamp,do you think stampin’ up would buy the rights to it.?:) lol,Conner came up with the phrase. To date she has made & gave out over 500.Her brother is taking 1000 back on base this week.Thank you for all your inspiration to Conner & I. Ms.Brandy,Thank you for sharing with us all of your awesome ideas and all the other awesome crafters. Conner & I are the ones who feel blessed for knowing Brandy.
Thank you both.
What a talented young lady, and obviously with a heart of gold. What a great servants heart she has. Blessing to you Connor and your Mom, for helping to make our veterans feel so loved and honored.
Brandy do you know if “Thanking a Hero for your service, You’re #1” is a stamp? If so, where did they get it?
Also is that a charm, magnet, or pin? She did a fantastic job:)
