The inspirational colors of the day are Island Indigo, Pacific Point, Lucky Limeade and Always Artichoke. The chosen stamp set is a retired Stampin Up stamp call Extreme Surfboard.
These colors were very challenging for me. The Always Artichoke was just cramping my style. Lol. I tried to present it several different ways and just did not like it with the Lucky Limeade and shades of blue.
The first card I actually designed was well… not impressive at all. My husband was like… “Really, that’s all ya got?” I knew I had to set it all down and walk away. When I returned I was determined to find a match and make these colors work.
To make this fabulous background I used a Stampin Up sponge and Island Indigo, Pacific Point and Lucky Limeade stamp pads. I started sponging and framing the subject.
Next, I used the Lucky Limeade Stampin Write Marker for his surf board. Yay… I used the Always Artichoke to color my Surfer dude and the water is Pacific Point! I was so excited… I did it!!! Now its your turn. Give it a try and email me a picture of your creation. I would love to post it.
