This past Saturday, BrandysCards.com sponsored and prepared dinner for the children and families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte. It was an amazing experience!
I had to laugh when we were all done. Although, my father in-law Dave made it fun… I’m not sure that I ever want to cook hamburger again after cooking 22 lbs. WOW!!! It was a lot!!! The menu was a Taco Bar with all fresh toppings, a Black Bean Chili, Fresh Salsa, Spanish Rice, and a fabulous desert prepared by my mother-in-law Patty. We made everything from scratch and onsite. Oh… it all tasted and smelled so good!!!
Thank you Pasty, Bobbie, Patty, Dave, Doug, Tyler and Dylan for making this such a wonderful experience. Knowing we reached out, to those who need a friendly smile, a hug or just a warm dinner to ease their mind of what they are going through, makes it all worth it. Thank you for your time, talents and for your Saturday. The children, families and staff of the Charlotte Ronald McDonald House appreciate all you’ve done. Thank You!
Thanks stamping friends for stopping by BrandysCards.com and for all your kind comments and support. Thank you for letting me share my day with you. Remember we can all make a difference in our own way. Smile and wave “HI!” to someone today! Brandy
Wow, you guys are great! What a lovely thing to do. I think we receive more than they do, it makes us feel good inside. To see the smiles just brightens your day! I recently shaved my head for St Baldricks Childhood Cancer Foundation, raised $1,100 and had the time of my life doing so! God Bless you and your family and friends for all you do for the Ronald McDonald house and all that they serve. You are a hero in the eyes of children!
You and your family are amazing! It makes a big difference in people’s lives that are going through hardship when an outpouring of love is showed them – like you and your family did. Thank you and God bless
You and your family did an awesome job. The families are grateful for all your hard work and I know everything smelled and tasted great. Have a blessed day.

Having used Hope Lodge in Baltimore ( it’s like a Ronald McDonald House but for adults) I know how much those families appreciated that meal and knowing they didn’t have to do any of the work made it even more enjoyable and relaxing. You guys did a wonderful job:)
Thank you Norma for stopping by and for leaving your comment. I really appreciate it! I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday weekend. Blessings, Brandy
Well done. So proud of you all.
Thank You Fern! Have a blessed day! Brandy
Wow! The food looks so yummy especially since it was prepared with love. What was the base for the dessert? It looks scrumptious!
Hi Franlyna,
Ya know I need to get that receipt and share it. Oh… it was fabulous!!! It was a tortilla chip, peanut butter, heresy’s chocolate, cocoanut topped with a cute marsh mellow. It was like a smore. So tasty!!!! I’ll see if I can have Patty email it to me to share. Have a wonderful holiday weekend! Hugs, Brandy
Brandy, you are incredible and a great role model for us all to follow. Thank you for your posts. They make my day a lot!
