Here is my color challenge for today. As I sat outside designing this card… it was 72 degrees here in Charlotte, NC and I was feeling spring!!! My boys were running circles around me and having so much fun outside. Knowing that the weather was unusually warm and that it would get cold again I decided I was going to just stay with Spring and enjoy it! I then pulled all five stamp pads and one sheet of each color in card stock. After some thought I decided to have some fun with the Stampin’ Up! “Bold Blossom” and the “Apple Blossoms” stamp set.
Some colors are harder than others for me to work with and I have to say this one was fun for me. This card feels flirty, fun and full of spring flowers. For those of you that don’t like to cut… well it’s pretty darn cute when you cut the layers of the flower apart and use a Dimensionals to pop them up. It’s Super Cute!!!
To get the dimension of my flowers I first stamped it in Tempting Turquoise and then bashful blue and continued to alternate until I had all four layers of my flower. For added effect I stamped the stem of the Pink flower a second time on scrap paper and cut out each leaf. This just gave it more pop. Totally worth it! I hope that you are inspired by today’s color challenge!!! Please join in the fun.
