[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Today’s card was designed using the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set.  I really enjoyed creating with this set because there are so many color combinations and various flower arrangements you can make.

You’ll also notice I created a simple pocket for the inside of the card.  The pocket was originally designed for my February Host Code Gift – Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots; however, you can put a gift card, money or a pack of wild flower seeds in the pocket.   You can change the message or leave off the pocket and send a beautiful bouquet note.

To embellish the card a bit further I added the  Bitty Flower Punch, Jewel Rhinestones and Whisper White Bakers Twine Bow. This set is just is so much fun and good news… its carrying over to the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. Yippee!!!

Thanks for stopping by and for enjoying today’s card.  Let me know if you have questions. Blessings, Brandy[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][dt_fancy_title title="Card Base & Inside Pocket" title_align="left" title_size="h3"][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]1. Cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock. This is your base.

2. Score your card base at 4″ and 4-1/4″ and prep your score lines.

3. Cut a 4-1/16″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  This piece is used to create your pocket.

4. Score your pocket at 2-3/4″ and fold it in half.

5. Use liquid adhesive to center and adhere half of the pocket inside your card base.  Keeping the fold in the pocket flush with the bottom of the card.

6. Use a very fine line of liquid adhesive or mini glue dots along the edge of the pocket.  Then fold up the pocket and adhere it to the other side.  This will create a pocket.

7. Cut a 4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock.  Center and adhere this piece to the top of your pocket.

8. Cut a 2-1/2″ x 2″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  This piece is for an additional message for the pocket.

9. Stamp your flower.

  • Stem and Leaf – Call Me Clover
  • Flower – Pineapple Punch

Petal Palette Card – Free PDF Tutorial

[vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Today’s card was designed using the Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette Stamp Set.  Its one of my favorites.  I love the sentiments, cute little bird and the dotted background.  Oh so many possibilities!!
So, I thought I would share with you the gift I created for my dear friend Erin.  It was her birthday so we invited her and her husband over for dinner.  The center piece was this fun tissue wrapped and stamped gift.  I also created a smaller version of the card I’m sharing with you here today.
Inside the neatly wrapped package was “homemade” Vanilla Extract.  Yep, that’s right!! You can make your own Vanilla Extract and you can continue to add alcohol to it and refill it.  She was so surprised and loved her special package.  I thought I would share with you the receipt and link to get your Vanilla Beans.
Thank you for stopping by Brandy’s Cards!! I hope you have a great day.  Happy Stamping!! Hugs, Brandy

1. Use an Old Olive Stamp Pad to stamp your leaf/branch.
Tip: On this card I stamped a second branch on scrap paper and cut it out.  I used mini stampin dimensionals to pop it up off the stamped leaf.  It will give your card a bit more dimension.
2. Next, use a Memento Black Ink Pad to stamp your bird on scrap paper.
3. Color the bird using Stampin’ Up Alcohol Markers.
Tip: I used a combination of Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake.
4. Hand cut our your bird and use a stampin dimensional to pop him up off the branch.
5. Stamp the flower in Daffodil Delight Ink and hand cut it out.  Use a mini glue dot to adhere it to the branch.
6. Add an embellishment to the center of the flower. I used a bright enamel shape.
7. Finally, add the sentiment using Memento’s Black Ink. You can stamp on a piece of scrap paper and create a banner or cut a banner out and stamp on it.
Tip: If you didn’t want to add a banner you could stamp directly on the image.

Color Challenge – March 2019

[vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text]Happy Color Challenge!

I love to challenge my Team by giving them colors and letting them go to work. Its a wonderful way to grow in color and design. By participating, it forces you to work with colors you might not put together. It can be hard at times but oh so rewarding when it all comes together.

The colors for the March Color Challenge were Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry. Keeping in mind the designers can stamp images in Archival Black and use either Whisper White or Vanilla Cardstock.

I like to offer a participation award for participating in the color challenge; therefore, I put all names in a hat and pulled out a winner. Yay!!  Congratulations to Christina Gabel & Niki Rettke for winning the adorable Stampin’ Up! Logo Socks.  Woo Hoo!

Thank you to all designers for submitting your beautiful cards.

Happy Stamping!  Brandy[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Helping our Homeless Neighbors

[vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_empty_space][vc_empty_space][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Together We Can Make A Difference!!

Last night, Doug and I along with our close friends cooked dinner for the Room In The Inn.  Brandy’s Cards was proud to make a monetary donation to purchase the groceries for a fun Taco Fiesta.  At our church, we prepared this yummy meal, offered hot chocolate and with a warm place to rest and sleep.   We had SO MUCH fun preparing, laughing, cooking and hosting eight of our homeless neighbors!!

I love this program because offers a unique way for people to become directly involved with individuals who are homeless. Their basic goal is to keep homeless people from freezing on cold winter nights. Their greater goal is to provide a more personal relationship to homeless people, at least for a night, and to foster a deeper understanding of the depth and complexity of the issue.
