Today’s card is a fun technique using your Stampin Up Pastels (chalk), VersaMark and Sponge Daubers. The stamp set featured on this card is call Summer Solstice. Its a beauty!
The items you’ll need to make this project are ~
- Stampin Up Pastels or Chalk
- VersMark
- Stamp Set
- Sponge Dauber
- Jewel Rhinestones
- Stampin Up Pom Pom ribbon or ribbon of your choice
- Garden Green, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White Card Stock
Step-by-Step Directions
Step 1: Stamp image with Stampin Up VersaMark onto card stock. The flower is actually stamped several times; however, I would stamp it one at a time. This way your VersaMark doesn’t begin to dry. You want it really sticky!
Step 2: Rub the Stampin Up Sponge Dauber on the Stampin Pastels color of choice. The sponge dauber will pick up the color.
Step 3: Dab or Rub your sponge dauber over the stamped image. The chalk will stick to it and you will begin to reveal your VeraMark Stamped Image.
Step 4: Use a clean sponge dauber to add another color to your stamped image.
Step 5: Repeat process and continue adding more colors if desired. For example you can add color to your leaf and butterfly.
Step 6: Use a VersaMarker to add ink to other unstamped areas if you wish. Repeat process with Sponge Dauber and Stampin Pastels to add color.

Very pretty and soft looking. Thanks for the idea, I just got this set last night and can’t wait to use it.
I like this stamp set using this technique.
I love this technique using chalks and Versamark. It is one of my favorites thing to do. Sometimes I don’t think of it. Inspired by Nature is where I almost always use this. In fact I don’t think I have ever done that stamp with anything but this technique.
