Today’s punch art flamingo was created for my last stamp camp. I used Stampin’ Up punches and card stock to make him. To add depth and dimension to his color you can sponge the punched pieces with melon mambo or strawberry slush. Stamping the greeting in Bermuda Bay really works well. I hope you like him and give him a try!
Thanks for stopping by BrandysCard and for subscribing. I appreciate your friendships and support. Have a great day! Brandy
Absolutely love the flamingo…. Can’t wait to try one!!!!!
Thank you for the great idea! I made a bunch, or should I say a “flock,” of cards for friends to give another friend whose birthday is coming up. The birthday girl spent a few months “flocking” people on their birthdays, so many of us associate pink flamingos with her, now. I thought it would be fun if she got “flocked” back! I still have to make one more, from me, to send her. They were so cute, someone wants to sell some in an auction for Relay for Life! Glad I stamped the backs with the copyright stamp!
Oh, I punched my yellow scalloped suns on the corners of the sheet of cardstock so I didn’t need to trim them at all; just fit them to the corner of the card! It was much easier for me than cutting them after gluing them.
I really enjoyed making this card during your June stamp camp.
So I was super excited to now see it on video!!
I always love any of your punch art, but this “guy” is so cute 🙂 I can’t wait to get started on my flamingo.
You make my day!
LOVE THIS CARD!! I used the “Awesome, Thanks!” stamp from the “Yippee-Skippee” Set and am going to send it to my boyfriend’s parents for inviting me to the Outer Banks for week! I thought this card was perfect for a beach-y thank you!Great Idea, Brandy. Your punch ideas AMAZE me!
Yay!!! My favorite StampinNut!!! I bet the Yippee-Skippee was fabulous!!! I love that idea and am so glad to know you enjoyed your weekend at the beach. You deserve it!!! Love you!!! B
Love the video and I also love how you hold your sponge on a clothes pin. I will certainly try that as my fingers are always full of ink when I sponge anything. Thanks for a fun project.
