Today’s card was inspired by bakers cupcake cups and paper doilies. This card is just so sweet and flirty! I love the pool party and the pretty in pink. They compliment each other so well… don’t they?
In the Stampin Up Spring catalogs Tea Lace paper doilies. They are so delicate… I love them! With that said… its almost Valentine’s Day and as I walked through Target I saw these heart doilies. You guys know I had to have them. Lol!!! I think the heart works well for this card. Just you wait because the circle tea lace doilies will be coming soon.
And for the flower… the inspiration was born from the pop-up posies designer kit from the Spring catalog, page #18.
I was looking at the bakers cups… or cupcake cups and started thinking about finding some with color. Just so happens target had pink ones. Lol!!! The designer paper under the heart is from the Stampin Up Sale-a-bration Sycamore Street designer series paper. I loved last years designer series sale-a-bration paper and wasn’t sure how they could top it and they did for sure. Its beautiful!!!
The base of this flirty Valentine card is whisper white. The very next layer is pool party and I textured it using the Stampin Up Perfect Polka Dots texture embossing folder. I must bring attention to the beautiful center piece or designer builder brad. I used to like to use the older build a brads and was sad when they retired.
However, I should have known that stampin up would do such a wonderful job replacing them with a designer builder brad that is so elegant. I love it! Did you notice that I added a large pearl in the center and a few small pearls around the inside. So pretty!!! Thanks for stopping by. I sincerely appreciate your love, support, friendships and comments!!! Have a super fun weekend and Happy Crafting!!! Hugs, Brandy
Brandy I just love the beautiful cards you do, an showing different ways to use items in the books. OH! those punch art cards are so awssome I hope to see more this year.
I just love your ideas ,I love punch art projects,Iv’e never heard of before . Hope you do more some-time, an showing more ways to use our punches.THANK-YOU VERY VERY MUCH.
Brandy, this is just beautiful!!! I also used the cupcake papers for a project for Christmas. I cut green ones in half and cut out the center then cut some to different lengths and made a tree with them. It was cute. Not as cute as this card however! Do you sell the center brad? If I understand correctly, you do. I need some of them. I will get an order together as soon as I can. Thank you! Sharon
