Today’s inspirational colors are Real Red, Poppy Parade, Regal Rose, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla.
Hmm… when I pulled all those colors I was like “Seriously!” True story. First, I would have probably never tried Poppy Parade with Real Red together and then throw Regal Rose in there. I was stumped!!!
My first thought was shades of reds and pinks which leads me to a floral stamp set. I wanted to use a new set out of the Summer Mini Catalog. The Stampin’ Up! Stamp Set featured in today’s challenge is called “Fabulous Florets” and it will available May 1st.
OK… I know what you all are thinking. Wow this is pretty but YIKES… she cut all that!!! I did. My girlfriends used to laugh at me all the time because I don’t mind cutting things out. They would always encourage me to incorporate a punch. Lol.
To create this card I stamped the flowers in the different shades of reds and pinks and began to cut then, layer them and build my own fabulous florets garden.
The stem or leaves also come with the stamp set. I stamped it in Always Artichoke straight on my Very Vanilla. I continued stamping it without inking it back up because I wanted to create depth. I also stamped the stem and leaves on a separate sheet of Very Vanilla paper and cut them out. I wanted that 3D garden effect.
That’s it! I hope that I have inspired you to grab those scissors and just starting stamping and cutting. Ok… so maybe not this much cutting!

I love the card and the colors are wonderful. Poppy Parade has become one of my very favorite colors and absolutely a favorite of any In-Colors ever. It is so vibrant.
I noticed too that you did a shadowing did you just use the gray marker or did you do something else?

Hi Diana,
Thank you for stopping by BrandysCards.com and for leaving a comment!!! Ya know I used the Always Artichoke for the Stems. I didn’t re-ink the stamp so it created shades of the Artichoke. It does kind of appear gray. I liked the look of the layers and the depth. Give it a try! For the flowers I stamped them several times in the different shades of red and started cutting. Then layering them! I was so excited about how it turned out! Feel free to CASE it and stay in touch. Blessings, Brandy

Gorgeous card Brandy! Lots of cutting and well done. Thanks for blessing my Tuesday. 🙂
Love this card. You certainly made those colors work together. Such an explosion of flowers and color. I don’t mind cutting either, as long as I’m in the mood for it.
You have created a work of art here! I am amazed at all your cutting and I think this card is indeed a special creation. Thank you so much for sharing it.
