This is the matching “Thank You” note that the ladies made as their Make and Take.  My goal was to encourage ladies to continue giving the gift of stationary by making there own notepad cover, cards and matching envelopes.  I think the ladies really enjoyed it!  I hope you do too.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

  • Cover Dimensions:  8-1/2″ x 11″
  •  Score the 11″ or  long side at 5-1/4″ & 5-3/4″.  Fold on the score lines to make your cover.
  • Cut out a 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of whisper white card stock.  Using the Betsy’s Blossom Stamp Set, Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse & Summer Starfruit Ink pads to stamp the front.
  • Now cut a 5-1/4″ x 1″ strip of whisper white card stock.  I ran this piece through my big shot in the Perfect Polka Dots textured embossing folder.  You’ll see I used it as a decorative border to finish the whisper white stamped piece.
  • The sentiment at the top was a stamp that I bought during the Stampin Up Convention.  It is not a stamp set that Stampin Up sells.  You can easy replace it with another sentiment.  The dimensions of the the bottom layer, Midnight Muse is 4-1/4″ x 2-1/4″.  The whisper white card stock layered in the center is 4″ x 2″.
  • Lastly, stamp your bird and blossoms.  I cut a few out and popped them up.

  •   Inside Pocket Dimensions: 5-1/2 x 8-1/8″
  • Score the 8-1/8″ or long side at 1″, 1-1/2″, 6-5/8″ & 7-1/8″
  • Flip your paper and now score the 5-1/2″ side at 1″ & 1-1/2″
  • Fold on the score lines and cut of the small extra tab pieces as feature above.
  • Glue your pocket together before your glue it to the inside of your notepad cover.
  • When finished the inside pocket should measure 5-1/8″x 4″
  • I then cut a 5-1/8″ x  3/4″ whisper white strip.  I used the Betsy’s Blossom Stamp Set and In colors to stamp it.
  • I used the Scallop Border Punch to add the whisper white decorative edge under the stamped white strip.
  • The note pad that I bought was from Staples.  They measured exactly 5″ across.  The Midnight Muse piece measures 5″ x 1-1/4″ before scalloping.

Love this project. Thanks for all of the tutorial. I may try it using another stamp set since I don’t have Betsy’s Blossom yet! Looking forward to Pinehurst 2012. It was such fun last year.
