Wow!!! If you would have asked me if I would ever get addicted to the fabric store I would say “heck no!” OK, I was so wrong. I’m addicted to not only Stampin’ Up! Rubber Stamps & Paper Crafts but I am also WAY addicted to crafting with Fabric too.
Last month I hosted a super fun with fabrics stamp camp. It was awesome! The ladies all had a great time and let me tell ya… I did too. So much fun that I have started thinking up new ways to craft with fabric. Let me tell ya… I dream about this stuff. Lol.
Anyway, I have to apologize this is not Stampin Up! fabric although everything else is! Isn’t this card lovely? Wow!
Ok… So the base layer is 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Basic Black Card Stock. I then came in 1/4″ for the Whisper White layer. Next, I cut a layer of Black and White Fabric . I did cut it so that it fit inside the Whisper White rectangle so make sure your fabric rectangle is 3-3/4″ x 5″.
Next, I cut a 5-1/2″ x 3/4″ Basic Black strip and used the Silver Brads to hold it on. Then I cut a 3″ x 3″ Basic Black Square to begin to layer up for my butterfly. My Whisper White small square is 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″.
How about that fabulous butterfly? Well, I ironed on Stampin Up! Fabric Adhesive under the Butterfly Fabric. I then used my scissors and cut it out. Seriously!!! Just cut it like paper. I was amazed at how beautifully it cut out. I left the wax paper on the back to give it some stiffness and used a stampin dimensional to pop it.
There you have it! An awesome, awesome fabric butterfly creation! Give it a try and shoot me an email with a photo. I’d love to feature you work.
