Today’s card features the Stampin’ Up! By The Shore stamp set. It has a plastic bag inside which looks like water and bubbles. If you haven’t tried this, you must!!!
Sizes and Dimensions
Night of Navy (Base) 5-1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Whisper White (Top) 5-1/4″ x 8″
Night of Navy (Strip) 1″ x 5-1/2″
Whisper White (Strip) 3/4″ x 5-1/4″
Gel Bags – 4-1/2″ x 3″
Oval Framelits
1″ Circle Punch
Directions
To make this card, fold your Night Of Navy base in half. Next, fold your whisper white piece in half. Using the Oval Framelits and the Big Shot to cut an oval in one of the whisper white sections. After you cut your oval, now start stamping your seaweed using gumball green. I stamped two or three sections of seaweed on the inside. At this point, I also stamped the front of my white piece. The lobster was stamped in real red and I hand cut it out. I put a strip of sticky strip along the top of the oval and one along the bottom side of the oval so that I could attach my gel bag. Then, I used a strip of sticky strip across the top of the card to hold it together. Don’t forget to seal your gel bag really good and maybe use some scotch tape to secure it! I stamped the Happy Birthday in Night of Navy and the anchor was stamped in Soft Suede.
I love this tutorial and just received my stamp set “By the Tide” I am definitely going to give this one a try but would love to see a close up of the lobster after it has been cut out. Love your videos 🙂
Brandy – This card is absolutely wonderful. I have the stamp set and I will definitely try it. I wish that I lived close to you and could attend your workshops, but since I livie in Savannah, GA, I think it would be to far to travel to attend them. I know your clients must enjoy them. Thanks for sharing.

Brandy, your cards are beautiful. . . I’ve seen all of you videos and there isn’t a one that I don’t love. I am going to make the “By the Tide” card now for a friend of mine who just had surgery. . . this should put a smile on his face. Your son is such a cutie and your hubby is an excellent photographer. Keep those videos coming. . . .

Wonderful video! I can’t wait to give the technique a try!
Wow this one is very cool. I can’t wait to see the box video also. I am waiting for my stamp set to come in the mail so I can make the 10 cards in 20 minutes. Now I will have a box to go with it. Thank you Brandy for sharing all of your wonderful ideas and talents. You make stamping fun 🙂
Brandy, know what you mean about the new magnetic plate, just mine last week and have been playing with it this weekend:)
Love, love, love this card and so masculine, think that is going to quickly become a favorite stamp set.
Could you do a video on the card box thT matches the Ten Cards in 20 minutes set? Loved that et also.
As usual….great video Brandy!!!! Can’t wait to see the box video….all my non-stamping girlfriends will be getting them for Christmas….don’t tell… 🙂
Brandy, love the card and love the stamp set! Brandy, I think you are using you magnetic platform wrong, you don’t use it as a cutting platform, because it will mark it up. On one video I watched you put a new clear plate on top, your paper, your framelits die and then another cutting plate. I may have seen it on the SU! Web site.

WOW.! We just got home and in checking my messages…I saw your great tutorial on “By theTide”. I have had this set and undecided how to use it.I now have an idea. I also enjoyed the “Happy Day” idea….we will defnitely try this at one of our stamping events. Joy to you and your tutorials.
I loved this idea thanks for sharing. I was wondering if you find it easier to use the magnetic board with not both clear plates on top like the instructions? I want to know if this works better for you having a clear plate under the platform so I will know when I order mine. Thanks.
Loved the video, Brandy. What a great men’s card! AND I LOVE THAT BOX!!! Will definitely be making that with the cards at a stamp class. Thanks for the inspiration!
