Stampin Up Wildlife Reserve

Stampin Up Stampin Up Wildlife Reserve

My neighbor  Connor recently earned his Eagle Scout badge.  My family and I were invited to his celebration. I wanted to do something special for Connor but I really don’t know much about  Eagle Scouts.  However, what I did have in my favor was the invitation.  So, I pulled it out and started to study it… I soon realized I needed to find an Eagle and think Red, White and Blue!!!

The base of this card is actually 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″  Basic Black Card Stock.  I then began to layer it up with Real Red and Whisper White.  With each layer you cut off 1/4″ and each rectangle will fit perfectly inside each other.

I used the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to texture the Whisper White Card Stock.

Next,  I used the Big Shot and the Original Die,  Stars #2, to cut out several different sized stars.  I then layered a few.   The white stars I used a two way glue pen on them and then sprinkled Stampin Up Dazzling Diamonds Glitter all over them.  They are fabulous and sparkly!  Love It!!!

The Stamp Set I used is retired.  Sorry about that but it was the only Wildlife set I have.  It’s called “Wildlife Reserve.”  The word Celebrate came from the Stampin Up Fundamental Phrases Stamp Set.

To finish my card I added a few silver brads and a fun little Clip from the Stampin Up Clips Assortments.

There is inspiration all around us!  Take the time to look around you and challenge yourself like I did.  I pulled the subject and the colors off the invitation and started to design my own special card or scrapbook page.  It’s fun!
