Love the AQUA PAINTER!!!

Stampin Up Love the AQUA PAINTER!!!

Have you used your aqua painter lately?  If not, pull it out and find an image that you can color.  I just love it.  Wow!!!

When using your aqua painter you can use your water wonder crayons or your colored pencils.  Heck, you can use your stamp pads if you want too.  However, you decide to get the color learn to layer it and give it a painted feel.  For example… the blue flowers were first colored with Ballet Blue and then I went back over the dark areas in Night of Navy.  And the yellow… well I used the lighter So Saffron color first and then I went back over the areas I wanted darker with More Mustard.  The pinks… first pretty in pink and then rose red.  The green I choose was Garden Green.  I just think it’s the most natural looking green of them all.

I am often asked… Do I need water color paper in order to use my Aqua painter?  In my opinion, NO.  Yes, water color paper blends easier and turns out beautifully; however, I have great luck with Stampin’ Ups! Whisper white paper too.  The key is less is more.  Watch how wet your brush is and start with your lightest color and then once it’s dry go back over it with the darker color.

I hope that I have inspired you to pull out your water wonder crayons and your aqua painter and start coloring.  Take your time and enjoy your masterpiece as it comes to live before your eyes!!!
